To be eligible for inclusion, the finalists were selected by position and were selected based off their on- and off-the-field contributions to the Kentucky Softball program. All players that played in at least one season from 2010-2020 were eligible, with the exception of any players currently on the roster.
Voting will be counted in 24-hour windows per position, with the total votes amassed between @UKSoftball on Twitter, @UKSoftball on Instagram and UKathletics.com determining the spots on the All-Decade Team.
The final team will consist of one (1) pitcher, catcher, first baseman, second baseman, third baseman, shortstop, DP/Utility player and three (3) total outfielders regardless of specific outfield position. The final team will be announced via social media and online Friday, Sept. 4.
The first position group will be the catchers, beginning on Thursday, Aug. 27 at Noon ET through the three avenues listed above.
Order of Voting:
Thursday, August 27 – Catchers
Friday, August 28 – First Base
Saturday, August 29 – Second Base
Sunday, August 30 – Third Base
Monday, August 31 – Shortstops
Tuesday, September 1 – Outfield
Wednesday, September 2 – DP/Utility
Thursday, September 3 – Pitchers
Friday, September 4 – Final Team Revealed
