Prince George: The quirky hobby George gained over holiday - ‘Truly enchanting’ - Express

The Cambridge's parenting style has been popular since Kate, Duchess of Cambridge gave birth to Prince George back in 2013. His parents are tasked with the difficult job of providing the young Prince with a normal childhood while preparing him for a life of royalty which awaits - and it seems the family have tried out a new group hobby for the summer holidays.

The family have taken up a fun group activity to keep them and their three children entertained during the summer holidays.

According to Twitter user @kateroyalcloset, the Cambridge's took their three children George, Charlotte and Louis to Mable's Paint Pot in Burnham Market, North Norfolk, on Saturday.

The unique shop is a ceramic craft and pot painting centre "where people of all ages can get creative with ceramics in a truly enchanting and inspiring setting".

George, Charlotte and Louis had a choice of painting mugs, plates, bowls, jugs or cups - or they could have brought their own items to personalise.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are very hands on parents, and have spoken considerably about their life with their three children during lockdown.

Their two eldest, George and Charlotte, were homeschooled by their parents throughout the pandemic, and have not yet returned to their school St Thomas's Battersea despite it reopening prior to the summer holidays.

They spent the coronavirus lockdown at their Norfolk home Anmer Hall, after leaving Kensington Palace early in the pandemic.

While the royals are famously private about their home lives, Kate and William have never shied away from letting the public in on the ups and downs.

"If this pandemic has revealed anything, it is that the hardest times can also bring out the best in us, and that goes for family life too."

Kate and William have always used a down to earth approach to parenting, and try to balance their royal duties with family life.

The couple has employed the same childcare professional for nearly seven years, Norland nanny Maria Borrallo, who reportedly has some strict rules for the Cambridge children.

The new biography of the Duke and Duchess and Sussex also shed some light on the Cambridge's parenting style.

It reveals how Prince William has been striving to give his three children as normal childhoods as possible before they go on to be working royals - and in Prince George's case, the King.

The book also says William is "involved in every aspect of raising his three children - including school drop-off and pickup, as well as homework.

"He and Kate, who had an equal partnership when it came to the house, were modern parents."

It is expected that the family will return to Kensington Palace in the coming weeks as George and Charlotte return to school in September.
