Royal commentator Russell Myers insisted that the Royal Family members were unlikely to be tuning into the royal drama. While speaking on Lorraine, Mr Myers argued that both Prince William and Prince Charles had told their friends about their concerns regarding the show. Prince Charles noted he would not be watching and that he was worried about the depiction of his marriage to Princess Diana.
Prince William had remarked that the crown took an oversimplified look at his parent's marriage.
Mr Myers said: "There has been a lot written over the last few days as The Crown has come out to huge fanfare.
"There are a lot of historical inaccuracies in this version of The Crown.
"Peter Morgan, the writer, has actually said yes he did use artistic licence in a lot of the scenes.

"He imagined how the scenes played out and I can't imagine William will be watching it.
"He has previously said to friends that he believes it was not a very fair depiction of his parent's marriage.
"He said it was a simplish way to make money, apparently.
"Also Prince Charles has told friends that he won't be watching it.
"I know there is the caveat that this is a drama and not a documentary but most people watching it will believe it."
Mr Myers agreed and said: "There is a total younger generation watching.
"You don't need to have seen all the headlines for us to know it is a drama.
"However there is a younger generation that won't be seeing the headlines about what is fact and what is fiction.
"They will be taking this on face value."
