Paltrow claimed that she realized that she didn't "love acting that much" in her mid-20s: "I felt like, 'Well, now who am I supposed to be? What am I driving towards?'"

She cited the "intense public scrutiny" as a reason why acting lost its luster for her.

Paltrow added that working under then-Miramax boss Harvey Weinstein, who she accused of sexual harassment in 2017, contributed to her eventually losing interest in acting.
