Bittle Named to McDonald's All-America Team - GoDucks.com

EUGENE, Ore. – Oregon five-star signee Nathan Bittle has been named to the 2021 McDonald's All-America team.
 
He will be the eighth McDonald's All-American in program history.
 
Bittle, the 2020 Oregon 5A player of the year for Crater High School, was rated as the nation's eighth-best prospect by ESPN.
 
The 6-11, Central Point, Ore., native is currently in his senior season at Prolific Prep in Napa, Calif., where he is averaging 15.4 points, 9.0 rebounds and 1.9 blocks per game. He is shooting 62.2 percent from the field.
 
Bittle scored 22 points in a win against Rangers Basketball Academy in December. He scored 14 points with 19 rebounds versus PHH Prep Fire in February, one of his four double-doubles as a senior.
 
When he was named the 2020 Oregon 5A state player of the year as a junior at Crater, he averaged 25.6 points, 11.3 rebounds, 4.5 blocks, 2.4 assists and 1.2 steals per game to lead the Comets to the 2020 5A state semifinals before the tournament was halted due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
 
The 2021 McDonald's All-America team is comprised of the top 24 high school boys in the nation. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the McDonald's All-American Game will not be played this year. Participants will be celebrated virtually.
 
The first McDonald's All-American to play for the Ducks was Luke Ridnour, who was selected to the team in 2000. Others include Aaron Brooks (2003), Malik Hairston (2004), Troy Brown Jr. (2017), Michael Dunigan (2008), Bol Bol (2018) and Louis King (2018).
