NAACP Image Awards 2021: The Complete Televised Winners List - Variety

Tonight, the 52nd NAACP Image Awards will air live on BET at 8 p.m. ET/ 7 p.m. CT, and will simulcast on CBS, BET Her, VH1, MTV, MTV2 and LOGO. Anthony Anderson returns as host for the eighth year in a row, entering the premiere event already a winner. During Friday’s non-televised ceremony, he won outstanding actor in a comedy series for his role on “Black-ish.”

The NAACP Image Awards officially began on Monday, giving out a set of awards each night. In addition to Anderson, “Black-ish” dominated with wins by Deon Cole and Marsai Martin in their respective comedy series categories. However, it was “Insecure” that walked away with the prize for outstanding comedy series.

Other highlights included Chadwick Boseman posthumous win for his supporting role in Spike Lee’s “Da 5 Bloods.” He is also up tonight for outstanding actor in a motion picture for his performance in “Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom,” which earned nine nominations and already won for outstanding ensemble cast.

Tonight’s event will reveal the ceremony’s top prize winners, including entertainer of the year, outstanding motion picture and outstanding actors and actresses across film and television. Read below to see the list of winners.
