On Friday, May 8, 2020, at 1:30 p.m. the Museum will be joined by Charlie Shuman ('19 Football) and Charley Mitchell ('78 M Lacrosse) for a virtual talk about their time while at Penn State and where they are now. Zoom link: https://psu.zoom.us/j/95951232799
 
Shuman began his career at Penn State as a football walk-on from Rochester, New York. Upon arriving on campus, Charlie was involved with the Student-Athlete Advisory Board (SAAB) and would go on to serve as the SAAB THON Chair, Treasurer, and President. Shuman danced in THON 2017 and 2018 and was influential in helping SAAB raise a record-breaking number for THON 2019. Shuman was named to the Big Ten All-Academic Team and a Distinguished Scholar in 2017 and 2018. He graduated with a bachelor's degree in kinesiology in May of 2018 and then earned a master's degree in management and organizational leadership from the Smeal College of Business in May 2019. Shuman is currently pursuing a doctorate in Physical Therapy at Nazareth College in Pittsford, New York.
 
Charley Mitchell earned Varsity Letters in 1974 and 1975 playing on the Penn State men's lacrosse team. Off the field, he was part of the University Debate Team, a columnist for the Daily Collegian, and was elected to the Mortar Board, a national honor society for college seniors. Mitchell graduated from Penn State in 1978 with dual bachelor's degrees in history and political science, and in 1984 he earned a master's in international politics from the University of Maryland, where he was a graduate teaching assistant. He has published articles on Civil War-era politics and slavery in Maryland and has discussed his work on Maryland Public Television and several local NPR radio programs. Mitchell's 2007 book, Maryland Voices of the Civil War, won the Founders Award from the American Civil War Museum in 2009, and his 2014 book Travels Through American History in the Mid-Atlantic won the Lowell Thomas Gold Award in 2016 from the Society of American Travel Writers. He was selected as a Baltimore Historian-Scholar for his contributions to the history of Maryland in 2018. Mitchell is currently the Director of Alumni Relations at St. Paul's School in Brooklandville, Maryland.
 
On Wednesday, May 13, 2020 at 1:30 p.m. we will read the book Let's Go on a Museum Hunt live on the Museum's Facebook page. Then, for the following 4 Wednesdays, there will be a virtual Penn State All-Sports Museum scavenger hunt targeted to preschool-elementary school students. On Friday, May 15, 2020 at 1:30 p.m. the Museum will be joined by Rudy Glocker ('91 Football) for a virtual talk about his time while at Penn State and how it helped him prepare for a career in business, even during a global pandemic. Zoom link: https://psu.zoom.us/j/99596967309
 
Glocker was a defensive lineman for the Nittany Lions from 1988 through 1992, earning letters in 1991 and 1992. Off the field he was the president of the Student-Athlete Advisory Board (SAAB) as well as the Graduate Student Association. Glocker graduated from Penn State with a degree in political science in 1991 and earned his master's in political science in 1993. During his career, he returned to school to earn his MBA from Harvard Business School in 1998. His successful career path has spanned from being a football coach in Sweden, an analyst on Wall Street, vice president at Goldman Sachs and currently a business owner in the New England region.
 
During the difficult times our country is facing with the COVID-19 pandemic, many citizens, businesses, sports teams and organizations are making tremendous sacrifices to allow us to stay safe and win this battle. Glocker founded Burgeon Outdoor, an outdoor apparel business in Lincoln, New Hampshire, in 2019 and recently has halted his production line to focus on making cotton masks for health organizations in need. Glocker's business has already produced and donated 4,000 cotton masks to health organizations as of April, with more coming in the future weeks as more and more organizations have reached out.

Clemson was a part of the Penn State women's track and field team from 2002-2007 which included top-three finishes for shotput and discus in Big Ten competition and the Penn Relays. She went on to earn three degrees from Penn State: Bachelor of Science in Secondary English Education in 2007, Master of Education in Educational Leadership in 2011, and a Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership in 2016. Clemson has studied, authored, and presented across the US and Canada extensively on the topic of schools and incarceration. Today she works as a high school English teacher in Ohio, as well as serving as the school's head coach for both the women's JV and varsity volleyball high school teams, and assistant coach for the high school track and field  team.
 
Davis is a native of West Philadelphia, attending the same high school as Will Smith, Wilt Chamberlin, and the first African American astronaut, Guy Bluford. While at Penn State, he was a "walk-on," non-scholarship football player and progressed to a starting position playing in both the Cotton Bowl and the Sugar Bowl in 1972. Davis graduated Penn State in 1973 with a bachelor's degree in Health Education. Upon graduation, he began his professional career coaching at Cornell before moving toward spending nearly three decades in administrative roles in both university and high school settings. During his professional career, Davis obtained his master's degree in human resource development from the American International College in 1993. Today, Davis is the Founder and CEO of the Institute for Human Relations, Inc., a nonprofit organization dedicated to the study of effective human relations skills that help individuals, organizations and communities address critical issue areas such as diversity, education and sports. He wants to use the Institute to help others help themselves by providing the resources they need that will assure they are prepared to meet the challenges and opportunities of the 21st century.

As a member of the Penn State wrestling team, McCoy was a three-time All-American, two-time national champion, two-time Penn State Athlete of the Year and two-time Nittany Lions Wrestler of the Year. In 1997, he won the Hodge Award as W.I.N. Magazine's Wrestler of the Year and graduated with a bachelor's degree in marketing. Upon graduation, McCoy went on to be a two-time Olympian and began a more than two decade long coaching journey. He was the head wrestling coach at the University of Maryland and Stanford University as well as an assistant coach at Lehigh University and Penn State University and was named Coach of the Year three times. In addition to coaching the 2008 Olympic Team, McCoy has coached numerous international teams for the United States and has served on several USA Wrestling, Olympic, and Paralympic committees. He was inducted into the National Wrestling Hall of Fame in 2014 and recognized as a Penn State University Distinguished Alumni in 2018. Off the mat, he has worked with the Beat the Streets organization to provide opportunities to inner-city kids through wrestling clinics and camps. McCoy retired from coaching in March 2019 to pursue other professional opportunities.
 
Albright was a springboard diver and competed on the Penn State swimming and diving team all four years of her college career. Out of the water, she was her team representative and founding member of the Student-Athlete Advisory Board (SAAB) as well as the D1 Northeast student-athlete representative to the NCAA's student-athlete council. Albright graduated from Penn State in 1989 with a bachelor's degree in labor and industrial relations. Upon graduation, she worked in human resources through 2017. After consulting with their financial adviser, Albright and her family opened a donor-advised family fund with the Foundation for Delaware County, supporting the environment, animal rescue, and pediatric oncology. She currently serves as board director for The Power of Professional Women and independent director at Darling Ingredients.
