CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Gardner-Webb infielder Samantha Meenaghan earned a spot on the Big South Conference All-Decade Team presented by Hercules Tires, as announced by the league office Wednesday afternoon.
 
Meenaghan (Atlantic Beach, Fla.) joins a team composed of the Big South's top players from 2010-2019.
 
A four-time All-Conference honoree, Meenaghan played for the Runnin' Bulldogs from 2011-2014, posting a career batting average of .409, collecting 282 base hits, including 17 doubles, ten triples and nine home runs in 679 at-bats.  She also tallied 73 RBI and swiped 38 bases.
 
Meenaghan was also named the Big South's Freshman of the Year in 2011.
 
 
A 15-person committee of Big South Conference administrators served as the official voting panel to determine the All-Decade Team, with fan voting comprising 20 percent of the overall total.
 
 
The 2010-2019 Softball All-Decade Team is listed below in alphabetical order by position and features five pitchers, five outfielders, six infielders, one catcher, two utility players, two designated players and one head coach.  In case of ties, additional honorees have been added.
