2020-21 Pac-12 Men's Basketball All-Conference honors and Annual Performance Awards, presented by Nextiva - Pac-12.com

SAN FRANCISCO – In a vote of the 12 Conference coaches, USC's Evan Mobley has been chosen the 2020-21 Pac-12 Men's Basketball Player, Defensive Player and Freshman of the Year; STANFORD's Jaiden Delaire was tabbed the Pac-12 Most Improved Player of the Year; ARIZONA’s Jordan Brown earned the Pac-12 Sixth Man of the Year; and USC’s Andy Enfield claimed the John R. Wooden Pac-12 Coach of the Year honor, Commissioner Larry Scott announced today along with the league's All-Conference Teams.

The 2021 Pac-12 Men’s Basketball Tournament is set to take place March 10-13 in Las Vegas at T-Mobile Arena. Fans can follow coverage of the event all week long at pac-12.com/menstourney.

PAC-12 PLAYER, DEFENSIVE PLAYER & FRESHMAN OF THE YEAR, PRESENTED BY NEXTIVA
Evan Mobley, Fr., F, USC

Mobley becomes the first player in Conference history and just the second major conference player (Kentucky's Anthony Davis, 2011-12) to sweep the trio of Player of the Year, Defensive Player of the Year, and Freshman of the Year. He also is only the second to win both league Defensive Player and Freshman of the Year in the same season, joining Oregon State’s Gary Payton in 1986-87 as the only freshmen to win the Defensive Player of the Year honor.

Mobley is now the fourth to garner both Player and Freshman of the Year along with Arizona’s Deandre Ayton (2017-18), UCLA’s Kevin Love (2007-08) and California’s Shareef Abdur-Rahim (1995-96).

Mobley has recorded a Conference-best 10 double-doubles and leads the league in rebounding (8.6 rpg) and blocks (2.6 bpg) while pacing USC and ranking top 10 in the Pac-12 in scoring (16.1 ppg, 7th) and field goal percentage (58.2%, 3rd). His 77 total blocks currently rank fourth-best by a freshman in Conference history.

PAC-12 MOST IMPROVED PLAYER OF THE YEAR, PRESENTED BY NEXTIVA
Jaiden Delaire, Jr., F, STANFORD

Delaire has more than doubled his scoring average from a season ago, improving from 6.1 points per game as Stanford’s sixth-leading scorer in 2019-20 to 12.8 points per game as the Cardinal’s second-leading and the Pac-12’s 18th-best scorer so far in 2020-21.

Delaire is the third Stanford recipient of the league’s Most Improved Player honor joining Dwight Powell in 2012-13 and Anthony Brown in 2013-14.

PAC-12 SIXTH MAN OF THE YEAR, PRESENTED BY NEXTIVA
Jordan Brown, R-So., F, ARIZONA

Brown is Arizona’s first-ever recipient of the Sixth Man of the Year honor. He came off the bench in 14 of the Wildcats’ 20 Conference contests, pumping in 8.8 points on 51.5 percent shooting and 4.7 rebounds in just 18.8 minutes per game.

To be eligible, players must not exceed more than one-third starts in league games.

JOHN R. WOODEN PAC-12 COACH OF THE YEAR
Andy Enfield, USC

Enfield secured his first career Coach of the Year honor after guiding USC, which was picked to finish sixth in the Pac-12 preseason media poll, to a runner-up Conference finish (15-5, .750) and the league’s most overall victories (21) through the regular season.

The Trojans returned just one starter and two reserves from 2019-20, with Enfield and staff blending in six transfers along with National Player of the Year candidate Evan Mobley to produce the program’s fifth 20-win campaign in the past six seasons in 2020-21.

It marks the first Conference Coach of the Year selection for USC since George Raveling in 1991-92 - the last time the Trojans won 15 league games - and just the fourth in program history (Stan Morrison 1984-85; Bob Boyd, 1978-79).

THE VOTE: Coach of the Year, All-Conference, All-Freshman and All-Defensive Teams, and Most Improved Player and Sixth Man of the Year are voted on by the coaches. Coaches are not permitted to vote for themselves or their own players for the honors.
