BURK VOTED TO NABC ALL-DISTRICT 12 SECOND TEAM - IUPUI Jaguars

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) announced the Division I All-District teams on Tuesday (Mar. 16) as voted on by NABC member head coaches. IUPUI senior guard Marcus Burk was voted to the District 12 second team. 

District 12 consists of the Horizon League and The Summit League. The first team was made up of Jalen Moore (Oakland), Loudon Love (Wright State), Kevin Obanor (Oral Roberts), Antoine Davis (Detroit Mercy) and Max Abmas (Oral Roberts). Burk was joined on the second team by Stanley Umude (South Dakota), Tanner Holden (Wright State), Baylor Scheierman (South Dakota State) and Rocky Kreuser (North Dakota State). 

Burk ranked among the nation's top scorers this past season, averaging 21.7 points per contest while shooting 48.1 percent from the floor and 40.9 percent from three-point range. He also led the Horizon League with 1.83 steals per game and grabbed 3.7 rebounds per contest. The Indianapolis-native connected on a team-high 45 threes and played a team-high 34.1 minutes per game. 

Burk scored in double-digits in 17 of the Jaguars' 18 games and connected on at least one trey in all 18 contests. He scored 20-or-more nine different times and had three games of at least 30 points. He scored a season-high 36 points against UIC on Feb. 12, hitting 15-of-20 field goals and 4-of-5 from three-point range in the Jaguars' victory. He followed that with a 34-point outing the following day and was later named Horizon League Player of the Week for his efforts. 

He was voted second team All-Horizon League for the second straight year by the league's coaches.
