Well, the hacker group that claimed to have “dirty laundry’ on Donald Trump did release emails Saturday on the dark web that had connections to the president.
But there was no “dirty laundry,” as they promised when trying to collect a $42 million ransom, according to reports.
Variety reported that 169 emails, which were stolen when the hackers broke into the servers of Grubman Shire Meiselas and Sacks, a prominent New York law firm. And, unless there’s more, there just wasn’t much there — a few “satirical references to him in certain TV shows and ads, as well as his 2015 20/20 interview with Barbara Walters.
The group made headlines by claiming it had “dirty laundry” on Trump and demanding its large ransom. The group claimed Saturday’s dump contained “the most harmless information” about the president.
The FBI and Secret Service are investigating the group.
