In order for a student-athlete to qualify for NWCA Scholar All-America distinction, they must have won over 60% of their matches and have a 3.2 minimum GPA, or they must be an NCAA Qualifier with a minimum 3.0 GPA. For a team to earn Scholar All-America Team honors, ten wrestlers must have competed at the conference tournament/NCAA qualifier.
Redshirt junior Joe Doyle, sophomore Jacob Nolan, and freshman Micah Roes were all named NWCA scholar All-Americans. Doyle's nod was the second of his career. He has a 3.28 cumulative GPA in economics and was an NCAA qualifier after taking fourth at EIWA Championships.
Nolan and Roes are first-time honorees. Nolan has a 3.21 cumulative GPA in economics. He finished the season with a 7-4 overall record, and made his first NCAA appearance after a fifth place finish at EIWA Championships. He recorded his first NCAA Championship victory over Virginia's Victor Marcelli.
Roes has cumulative GPA of 3.5 as an undecided major. He became the second true freshman in Binghamton program history to qualify for NCAA Championships, and also picked up his first NCAA Championship win this season over Iowa State's Kysen Terukina.
