One of TV’s most iconic kisses hasn’t lost its magic.
The cast of “Friends” is in full nostalgia mode ahead of their big reunion special, which drops Thursday at midnight Pacific (3 a.m. Eastern) on HBO Max.
Stars Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, David Schwimmer, Matt LeBlanc and Matthew Perry got together on “Good Morning America” this week to relive the good old days — and that famous first smooch between Ross and Rachel.
Aniston and Cox revealed on the talk show that they have been rewatching episodes of their sitcom ahead of the special.
“We laughed and cried,” Cox, 56, said.
Cox was specifically emotional about one pivotal scene: “Their first kiss, Ross and Rachel, that was — ugh! It was so powerful.”
“Yeah, she was in tears,” Aniston, 52, said of Cox.
Kudrow, 57, admitted that she hadn’t begun rewatching but plans to binge the entire series.
It’s a tough call for some fans to name their favorite out of the 235 episodes, but the stars agreed on some of their most beloved episodes.
Kudrow said, “I did love ‘The One Where Everybody Finds Out,’ because I had very fun things to do.” Her castmates unanimously agreed.
Cox fondly remembered her and Schwimmer’s comical sibling dance in the New Year’s Eve episode, of which Kudrow chimed in, “The routine was so funny!”
Schwimmer, 54, offered, “I really liked ‘The One With the Blackout.'”
Although the cast was pretty tight-lipped about revealing any secrets about “The Reunion,” LeBlanc, 53, shared, “I hope the fans walk away with a sense of what it was like for us to have made the show.”
Perry, 51 — who has worried fans with his slurred speech in promotional interviews for the special — admitted, “Reuniting this cast again — I knew it was gonna be a really seriously emotional experience. And it has been.”
