To be eligible, a student-athlete must have met and/or exceeded the minimum requirements, including a minimum 3.2 GPA, and must have completed at least one academic term at his/her current MAAC institution.
The reigning MAAC individual champion, Loza earns a spot on the All-Academic Team for the first time in her career as a biomedical engineering major. Posting the best stroke average on the team this past season with a 78.37 mark, the Winter Orange, Fla., native secured a team-high five top-10 finishes in 2021.
MacKinnon, a biology major, earns a spot on the All-Academic Team for the third time in her career. The native of Chatham, Ontario, boasts a perfect 4.0 GPA, while averaging 79.25 strokes per round, which is good for the second-best mark on the team. She is coming off her finest outing to date at this past Sunday's Hartford/Gillette Invitational, where she took medalist honors at the event with a season-best single-round score of 73 (+1).
A business analytics and managerial economics major, Tully joins MacKinnon in garnering All-Academic Team honors for the third time in her career. Boasting a 3.91, Tully did not compete on the links this season due to injury.
Premkumar, a native of Dunstable, Mass., receives All-Academic Team distinction for the first time in her career. The finance major competed in six events this past season, tying for 14th place at the Monmouth Series #2 for a season-best finish.
A native of Dallas, Texas, Devoe found herself on the All-Academic team for the first time in her career. The health science and physical therapy major saw improvements on the links, seeing her season average drop by more than one stroke average in 2021. Devoe shot a career-best round of 80 (+2) to tie for 20th at the Hartford/Wintonbury Invitational on March 26.
Drew, a native of Keene, N.H., was named to the All-Academic Team for the first time in her career. The civil engineering major major, who boasts a 3.94 GPA, showed steady improvement as a sophomore. She posted a career-best 11th-place finish at the Hartford/Blackledge Invitational on March 22, carding a season best score of 81 (+9).
Wrapping up the All-Academic Team honorees is Yeung, an acoustical engineering and music major from Moorpark, Calif., who receives the honors for the first time. She had an impressive sophomore campaign with three top-25 efforts, including a ninth-place finish at the Monmouth Series #2. Yeung's best score of the season came in the second round of the Sacred Heart Invitational, where she carded an 83 (+11).
The Hawks will be back in action on Friday, April 23, when they begin play at the MAAC Championship, held at the Disney Magnolia Course in Orlando, Fla.
