Louka Named Third-Team All-ACC – Clemson Tigers Official Athletics Site - clemsontigers.com

Greensboro, N.C. — Eleni Louka has been named third-team All-ACC, as announced by the conference office on Thursday morning. Louka earns her first All-ACC selection and becomes the first player with freshman eligibility to be named to an all-conference team since Ayan Broomfield in 2016 (second-team). Additionally, the Cyprus-native is the 11th Tiger with freshman eligibility to be named to an All-ACC team.

This season Louka made appearances in 17 matches for the Tigers, playing predominantly No. 1 singles and doubles. Louka’s most notable singles win of the season came in the ACC opener against Florida State when she defeated No. 27 Guilia Pairone in straight sets to earn the first top-50 win of her career. Against Georgia Tech, Louka, alongside partner Jenna Thompson, notched a 6-4 victory over No. 5 Victoria Flores/Kenya Jones. Louka has been ranked as high as No. 50 in singles and doubles by the ITA this season.

Note: Classes were not advanced for 2020 players who all received an NCAA blanket waiver for an extra year of eligibility.
