The USFCA recognizes individual student-athletes and teams on the basis of their combined Fall and Spring semester GPAs. The USFCA All-Academic Team includes 392 student-athletes with 240 receiving recognition as Scholars of Distinction. All-Academic Team honors are presented to those student-athletes at member institutions who had an in-season GPA of 3.3 or higher. Scholar of Distinction honors are presented to those student-athletes at member institutions who had an in-season GPA of 3.7 or higher.
The Owls had a historic season despite challenging circumstances due to the COVID-19 pandemic, qualifying the maximum number of six fencers for the NCAA Championships. Margherita Calderaro finished sixth in epee and Eva Hinds tied for seventh in sabre, the first time in program history two fencers have finished in the top-8. Calderaro's finish was the highest individual finish for an epeeist at the NCAAs.
