Ashmore was recognized as one of the nation's top student-athletes for her combined performances in the competition realm and in the classroom. The CoSIDA Academic All-America® program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
Ashmore holds the indoor (4.06 meters) and outdoor (4.05 meters) records in pole vault for the Mean Green and is a three-time All-Conference USA selection.
A graduate student with a 4.0 GPA in Materials Science and Engineering, Ashmore is both a two-time USTFCCCA All-Academic performer and Conference USA Track and Field All-Academic Team honoree.
Ashmore most recently placed eighth at the 2021 C-USA Outdoor Championships and won the title at the Aggie Invitational with a season-high height of 3.91 meters. During the indoor season, the Cypress native finished third at the C-USA Indoor Championships. Ashmore was selected as the Female Indoor Athlete of the Week January 27, captured first place at the Kansas State Wildcat Invite and vaulted an indoor season-best 4.01 meters at the Texas Tech Invite for runner-up honors. She is a Dean's List, C-USA Honor Roll and C-USA Commissioner's Academic Medal honoree.
Ashmore becomes the third Mean Green to earn Academic All-District® Women's Track & Field / Cross Country distinction and joins Cassidy Adams (2019) and Susie Kemper (2016).
First-team Academic All-District® honorees advance to the CoSIDA Academic All-America® ballot. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced in mid-August.
