Austin, Texas – (July 15, 2021) — The 2021 Academic All-District® Men's Cross Country/Track & Field Team, selected by CoSIDA, has been announced and recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom.
For District I, Fordham junior Brandon Hall (Hopedale, Mass.) was named Academic All-District and moves on to the Academic All-America® national ballot.
Hall, the Rams' team MVP for cross country, is majoring in Finance with a 3.93 GPA. A three-year member of the Atlantic 10 Commissioner's Honor Roll, he earned All-Atlantic 10 honors at this season's Atlantic 10 Cross Country Championship, placing 12th overall in 24:52.1, and was named to the conference's Academic All-Conference team for cross country.
During the outdoor track season, Hall was runner-up in the 5,000 meters (14:42.42) at the 2021 Metropolitan Outdoor Championship.
The CoSIDA Academic All-America® program separately recognizes cross country/track honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA. First-team Academic All-District® honorees advance to the CoSIDA Academic All-America® ballot. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced later in July.
