LEXINGTON, Va. – Following an incredible senior season on the hardwood, VMI basketball guard Greg Parham has been named to the Virginia Sports Information Directors men's basketball university division All-State Second Team.
The Richmond, Virginia, native earned Southern Conference First Team All-Conference honors after the 2020-21 season by finishing third overall in the league in scoring at 18.4 ppg. He joined VMI's 1,000-Point Club as only the 42nd Keydet in program history to attain the feat. He led the SoCon in conference games with 20.5 ppg and in 3-point percentage at 44 percent overall.
Parham was named the SoCon Player of the Month for the month of January after reeling of seven straight 20- point games. He was twice named the SoCon Player of the Week within the month of January to help earn the distinction. Overall, he finished this season with 12 games overall in which he scored 20+ points.
He helped the Keydets to a No. 6 seed at the SoCon Tournament, and helped VMI advance to the semifinals for the first time since 2003. VMI's 13 victories were the most since 2013-14 and the seven SoCon wins were the most since 2014-15. The Keydets finished 11-1 at home, the most successful season at Cameron Hall in seven years. His high percentage shooting from beyond the arc helped contribute to VMI ranking second in the nation in three-pointers made per game for the second straight year after averaging 10.8 per contest.

VaSID names 44 All-State teams in 23 sports each year, as well as an Academic All-State squad and an all-sports champion in both the University and College Divisions. Membership in VaSID is open to all media relations professionals working at a university or conference in the state of Virginia.
