Women's Volleyball Tallies Three All-NJAC Selections - Kean University - Kean University Athletics

PITMAN, N.J. (4/1/21) – The Kean University women's volleyball team tallied three on the New Jersey Athletic Conference All-Conference teams. Kayla Thornton was named to the first team, while Michelle Froehlich was named to the second team and Amanda DeLio was an honorable mention selection.

Thornton makes her first All-Conference appearance with a selection to the first team. The one-time NJAC Player of the Week tallied 60 points, 54 kills, 15 digs and 11 blocks over seven matches. The middle hitter averaged 2.86 points per set, 2.57 kills per set, 0.71 digs per set and 0.52 blocks per set with a .354 hitting percentage. She ranked sixth in hitting percentage, eighth in kills, and ninth in both points and blocks. Thornton is Head Coach Don Perkins 12th NJAC first team selection.

Froehlich makes her first All-Conference appearance with a selection to the second team. The outside hitter tallied 61 digs, 45.5 points, 37 kills and eight aces over six matches. The senior averaged 3.39 digs per set, 2.53 points per set, 2.06 points per set and 0.44 aces per set. She ranked fifth in digs and ninth in aces. Froehlich is Coach Perkins ninth NJAC second team selection.

DeLio makes her first All-Conference appearance with an honorable mention selection. The libero tallied 77 digs, 18 assists, nine aces and nine points over seven matches. The junior averaged 3.67 digs per set, 0.86 assists per set, 0.43 aces per set and 0.43 points per set. She ranked third in digs and eighth in aces. DeLio is Coach Perkins 13th NJAC honorable mention selection.
