FARGO, N.D. – North Dakota State University thrower Trevor Otterdahl was named to the Academic All-District 6 team for Division I men's track & field and cross country, the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) announced Thursday.
Otterdahl (Rosemount, Minn.) earned a degree from NDSU in mathematics with a 3.96 cumulative GPA, and is now pursuing an MBA with a 4.00 GPA. He was a first-team All-American in the weight throw in 2021, placing fourth at the NCAA Indoor Championships.
Outdoor, Otterdahl was an NCAA West Prelims qualifier in the hammer throw and shot put, and placed second in the hammer and sixth in the shot at the Summit League Championships. He ranked 35th in the NCAA for the hammer throw in 2021.
As an All-District honoree, Otterdahl will advance to the national ballot for Academic All-America honors, to be announced in mid-August.
District 6 is comprised of student-athletes from Arkansas, Iowa, Louisiana, Minnesota, Missouri, Mississippi, Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota, Wisconsin and Wyoming.
