DePaul Finishes ITA All-American Championships Pre-Qualifying - DePaul Blue Demons

TULSA, Okla. – In Sunday's lone match for DePaul at the highly competitive ITA All-American Championships, freshman Marino Jakic dropped his Pre-Qualifying Round consolation match 6-0, 6-3 to Baylor's Ethan Muza.

Coming up on Monday, ITA preseason nationally ranked Vito Tonejc will enter Qualifying Round singles action with a field of 128 players. The final 16 qualify for Wednesday's Main Draw.

He will also team with Jakic in the Qualifying Round doubles field with 64 teams. Only the final eight will advance to Main Draw doubles play.

Tonejc and the DePaul doubles team would have to win three matches against some of the top players in the country to qualify for the Main Draw.

Five of the top 10 players in the nation are in the singles main draw title hunt including No. 3 Daniel Rodrigues of South Carolina, No. 5 Adam Walton (Tennessee), No. 6 Johannus Monday (Tennessee), No. 8 Luc Fomba (TCU) and No. 10 Eliot Spizzirri (Texas).
