CLEVELAND – The Mid-American Conference announced its annual soccer all-conference teams and the yearly superlatives on Thursday. Nicky Potts and Emily Simmons were named to the All-MAC Second Team, while Lexi Fraley earned All-Freshman Team status to represent the Ball State soccer program.

Potts earned her third all-conference honor as a midfielder. She finished third on the team with six points on two goals and two assists. During the season, Potts was a vital key in the Cardinals transition from defense to offense. She appeared in 16 matches and started 15 of them.

Head Coach Josh Rife on Nicky
"This is a well-deserved honor for Nicky. She has persevered through her college career to position herself as a threat both as a goal scorer and as a facilitator. We will definitely miss her moving forward."

Simmons collected her third all-conference designation as a defender. She was a crucial cog in the Ball State defense on the back line. She played in 13 matches and made 12 starts. She earned two points on the year, including a game-winning goal against Valparaiso.

Coach Rife on Emily
"Emily has been a staple in the back line since her arrival at Ball State. She has continued to grow as a player every year and this is a great honor for her as she closes out this chapter in her playing career."

In just her first season, Fraley played a critical role in the Cardinal attack and was rewarded with a freshman team nod. She finished with eight points coming on four goals. Her four goals led all freshmen in the MAC. She appeared in 16 matches for BSU.

Coach Rife on Lexi
"I am excited for Lexi to receive this honor. She worked tirelessly all season long and it's great to see her being rewarded for her efforts. She has a bright future ahead of her and we are excited for what comes next."
