GREENSBORO, N.C. - The North Carolina football team saw 11 of its players claim All-ACC status as announced Tuesday by the conference office. DL Tomon Fox, LB Jeremiah Gemmel and DB Cam'Ron Kelly were selected for the third team, while QB Sam Howell, OL Joshua Ezeudu, OL Marcus McKethan, DL Raymond Vohasek and DB Tony Grimes were named honorable mention.

Downs enjoyed a breakout sophomore season by setting program records for receptions (98) and receiving yards (1,273), while also scoring eight touchdowns. He leads the ACC and is second nationally in catches and is second in the league and eighth in the country in receiving yards.

Murphy also enjoyed an outstanding second season with the Tar Heels. The defensive lineman has started all 12 games and is second on the team with four sacks and 8.5 tackles for loss. He also has 32 tackles and three pass breakups this season.

Fox leads Carolina with 7.5 sacks (fifth in the ACC) and 9.0 tackles for loss. The 2020 honorable mention All-ACC selection also came up with 31 stops and six hurries.

Gemmel is second on the team with 73 tackles and leads the Tar Heel defense with seven hurries. He has three breakups, one interception and one forced fumble in his senior campaign.

Kelly is tied for the ACC lead with four interceptions and sits third on the team with 57 tackles.

He ranks second nationally among quarterbacks with a career-high 826 rushing yards and scored 11 touchdowns on the ground this season.

Vohasek came up with 34 tackles, four tackles for loss, four hurries, three breakups and one sack in his final season with the Tar Heels.
