2021 All-Big 12 Football Awards Announced - Big12Sports.com

The All-Big 12 Conference football teams and individual award winners have been announced. Selections are made by the league’s 10 head coaches, who are not permitted to vote for their own players. The complete list of honors is in the PDF here.

All-Big 12 Honors Notebook:

Breece Hall is the fourth player to earn two Big 12 Offensive Player of the Year honors and the third to do it in consecutive years. He is the second Iowa State student-athlete to win the honor, joining Troy Davis who was the Conference's first honoree in 1996.

Jalen Pitre is the third Baylor player to be recognized as Big 12 Defensive Player of the Year along with James Lynch (2019) and Andrew Billings (2015). He is the first DB since 2013 (Jason Verrett, TCU).

Jaylen Warren is Oklahoma State’s third Offensive Newcomer of the Year along with Tyreek Hill (2014) and Adarius Bowman (2006).

Siaki Ika captured Baylor’s first Defensive Newcomer of the Year.

Xavier Worthy is the sixth Texas player to earn Offensive Freshman of the Year and the first since Colt McCoy in 2006.

Collin Oliver picked up OSU’s third Defensive Freshman of the Year, joining Shaun Lewis (2010) and Andre Sexton (2006).

Trestan Ebner is the third player to earn consecutive Special Teams Player of the Year honors since the award was added in 2005. He is Baylor’s second winner along with Daniel Sepulveda (2006).

Connor Galvin is the third Bear to collect Offensive Lineman of the Year. Spencer Drango (2014, 2015) and Cyril Richardson (2012, 2013) are previous Baylor winners.

Co-Defensive Linemen were selected for the first time since the award was added in 2006. Felix Anudike-Uzomah is K-State’s fourth honoree while Will McDonald IV picked up Iowa State’s first award.

Mike Gundy has been named Chuck Neinas Big 12 Coach of the Year for the second time in his career.

Oklahoma has won the most individual awards in the 26-year history of the Big 12 with 47. K-State is second (36), followed by Texas (32), Oklahoma State (24), Baylor (23), Iowa State (21), TCU (10), West Virginia (9) Kansas (8) and Texas Tech (8).
