Golden State Warriors superstar Stephen Curry is on pace to pass Hall of Famer Ray Allen as the NBA’s all-time leader in 3-pointers made.
Curry hit five 3-pointers against the San Antonio Spurs on Saturday to increase his all-time total to 2,951 3-pointers, which brings him 23 3-pointers away from passing Allen for the top spot. The Warriors’ next game is Monday against the Magic (10 ET, NBA League Pass).

Curry has knocked down at least one shot from long range in 147 consecutive games, which ranks as the NBA’s longest active streak, and the second-longest streak in league annals after moving past Kyle Korver (127). The three-time champion already owns the all-time NBA record of 157 consecutive games with at least one 3-pointer.
At Curry’s current pace (he’s averaging more than five made 3s a game), he appears to be on track to either catch Allen or surpass him in the small window of road games from December 11-14 with the Warriors facing Philadelphia, Indiana and New York in nationally televised outings.
Curry, the ongoing leader in this week’s Kia MVP Ladder, hit 105 3-pointers in just his first 19 games this season to break his own NBA record (20 games) for the fewest games to reach 100 3-pointers in a season, according to Elias Sports Bureau.
Both Curry and Allen were named to the NBA’s 75th Anniversary Team.
