Recognized for their stellar work during the 2021 soccer season, Cowley College sophomores Natalia Lima and Elsa Pelicant were recently named NJCAA Division I Women’s Soccer All-Americans. Lima, who became the first-ever two-time All-American in the history of the program, was named to the Second-Team. Lima led Cowley in both goals scored (15) and assists (nine). “I am so proud of Natalia and what she has done during her three seasons at Cowley,” Lady Tiger head coach Roberto dos Santos said. Pelicant, who is known for her strong defensive presence, also provided Cowley with offense by scoring six goals and adding four assists. She was named an Honorable Mention All-American. “Elsa is all about the team,” Dos Santos said. “I am so happy for her and Natalia to have this honor of All-American after all of the hard work they have put into the program.” The duo helped Cowley win a school-record 15 games and advance to its first-ever District title match during the 2021 season.
