Dylan Maberry
Player of the Year | First-Team All-Conference
Maberry started 17 matches for the Panthers and played in all 102 sets of the regular season. She also led the Big South in kills (344) and was second in kills per set (3.49/set). Maberry also terminated rallies at a .281 clip on the season. Maberry was named the Big South Player of the Week once this season.
Maria Miggins
Co-Setter of the Year | First-Team All-Conference | All-Academic Team
Miggins made 16 starts on the season and played in all 102 sets for HPU. She was fifth in the conference in assists (515) and seventh in assists per set (5.37/set). She was third on the team with 21 aces as well.
Mackenzi Thornburg
Co-Setter of the Year | First-Team All-Conference
Thornburg joins Miggins as the Co-Setter of the Year after starting 14 matches and playing in 99 sets. Thornburg tallied a team-high 558 assists, ranking fourth in the conference, and 5.75 assists per set. She ranks third on the team in digs after recording 204 in the regular season.
Gabi Idlebird
First-Team All-Conference
Idlebird led the team and the conference in hitting efficiency, terminating at a .363 clip and tallying 243 total kills (2.45/set). She played and started in all 29 matches for the Panthers and recorded 97 blocks on the season. Idlebird was also named the Big South Player of the Week twice this season.
Jenny Wessling
Defensive Player of the Year | First-Team All-Conference | All-Freshman Team
Wessling made 426 digs on the season to lead the Panthers and was named the Big South Libero of the Week three times and the Freshman of the Week once throughout the season. She also led the Panthers with 34 service aces on the season.
Sydney Palazzolo
Freshman of the Year | Second-Team All-Conference | All-Freshman Team
Palazzolo was named the Big South Freshman of the Week twice and the Player of the Week once this season. She started 24 matches and played in 86 sets as a six-rotation player for the Panthers while hitting .256 with 266 kills and making 244 digs.
Jackie Joyce
All-Freshman Team
Joyce was honored on the All-Freshman team after making 17 starts and playing in 50 sets. She tallied 24 kills and 55 blocks.
Ryan Meek, Jill Sikes, Kevin Berger
Coaching Staff of the Year
Head coach Ryan Meek, associate head coach Jill Sikes, and assistant coach Kevin Berger were named the conference's Coaching Staff of the Year after leading the Panthers to a 23-6 overall record and finishing 15-1 in Big South play.
HPU will enter the Big South Conference Tournament as the No. 1 seed and play the winner of No. 4 North Carolina A&T/No. 5 USC Upstate. The complete bracket for the tournament can be found here.
