MAAC Announces Women's Soccer All-Academic Team - Niagara University Athletics - NU Purple Eagles.com

EDISON, NJ - The Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference office has announced the 2021 MAAC Women's Soccer All-Academic Team. 

To be eligible for the MAAC All-Academic Team, a student-athlete must complete two semesters at their institution and hold a cumulative grade point average of 3.20 on a 4.0 scale.

Niagara had a total of 12 student-athletes qualify for the team. Graduate students Mackenzie Mix and Alexis Horwedel, seniors Annie Ibey, Ashley Lofranco, Ida Miceli, juniors Clara Bornet, Olivia Hooley, Florence Vaillancourt, Grace Wirth, and sophomore's Emma Bough and Molly Tobin all earned MAAC All-Academic recognition.

A total of 190 student-athletes comprise the 2021 MAAC Women's Soccer All-Academic Team. Fairfield and Marist tied for the conference lead rostering 23 student-athletes each on the. 

Monmouth, Siena and Manhattan were just behind with 22, 21 and 20, respectively. Quinnipiac had 19 student-athletes while Iona placed 17. Rider University followed with 13 student-athletes on the roster. 

In Western New York, Canisius College and Niagara University each rostered 12 student-athletes. Saint Peter's placed eight student-athletes to round the team.
